Description :: Are we sick of the candidates yet?
So, are we sick of election year yet? I don't know about you, but with all the mud and crap flying from both camps,I'm pretty sure that I hate both candidates. They scream at each other for avoiding the issues, being weak on defense, the economy, blah, blah, blah, but nobody seems to have a plan. At least not a plan they are willing to share with the general public. And I don't want to hear what they plan to do, i want to know how they plan to accomplish it. Bush looks paranoid (like a deer in headlights, really), and Kerry looks like that desperate kid in school that always seemed to be rubbing minor victories in your face.

And I'm asked to vote for one of these two? (Nader doesn't count because he isn't even on the ballot in all 50 states, therefore not a serious candidate....not that Kerry or Bush are...)

I have wondered before if this election year crap is just an evil ploy by politicians to get the public sick of politics (so that the politicians can go and do whatever the heck they want....practically true anyway; the senate votes to raise it's own salary...). If so, it's working on me. Seriously, though, what is a person in my dilemma to do? Do I vote for the lesser of two evils (and i'm still sorting that one out)? or do I do exactly what at least one side wants me to do and not vote at all? What if I really want to be involved in the political process, but I see both candidates as incompetent morons trying to please as many special interest groups as possible? Frankly, I don't want either one as president, and I sure as heck don't want Dick "Haliburton" Cheney or John "Trial Lawyer" Edwards as VP.

My conclusion: This election year blows. Get us some real candidates.
